Adventure of El Ezio

From Xenon to Earth(fiction)

Long long ago,  nature blessed men with sound health and everything was beautiful, breathtaking even. Not that it was to them at the time, it was their normal. Colours were more vibrant, textures more pronounced and old men, younger. Earth,however,.did not stay that way forever, our planet was invaded by something exhausting and since then it has been a question of who Will save earth.

Meet the characters

Doxa: My name is Doxa. My friends think I'm weird because no normal 20 year old guy is that obsessed with health and it's deterioration on earth.

Elena : I’m Elena gilbert, not a vampire as portrayed in my diary,rather, a graduate of nutrition and dietetics from the only Federal University of Agriculture in Abeokuta. I'm pretty chill if I may say and look forward to being an expert nutritionist.

El ezio: I’m El ezio, from Xenon. A thousand years ago, xenon got a signal that good health on earth is going out of fashion, the environment is no longer green and there is an increase in metabolic disease. The earth I used to know was so beautiful, that I had to come right things!

Act 1 scene 1

Doxa is seen soliloquizing in his room at camp funaab Abeokuta, he's lost in thoughts and does not hear the repeated knocking on his door

Elena: Doxa, please open the door?


Doxa opens the door absent-minded but brightens a bit on seeing Elena

Doxa:  Hey!, It's you! Perfect!, how are you?

Elena: I’m fine. You on the other hand look like what the cat dragged in, what's wrong?
Elena walks in and makes herself comfortable on the recliner

Doxa: (laughing) what the what now ?

Elena:don't try to change the topic, what's up? She broke your heart?

Doxa: She?, who's she? Lena, you know the only thing that bothers me is

Elena: (interrupts, acting bored)Yes, Yes, the health of the people

Doxa: Oh C'mon Lena you of all people know sound health is a precious gift.A man simply desires an earth free from hypertension, cancer and all those blasted things.

Elena:(laughs out loud)blasted? What century are you living in?

Doxa: oh shut up Lena (faking exasperation)

Elena: (sobers up), Hey Dox, you know I'm about as worried about you as you are, it’s a big worry because I see earth in a state of emergency,technology has not properly addressed our health system and if you ask me as an idealistic young lady, I think we need to go back to history and study the lifestyle of the first men who were vegetarians but as a nutritionist, I've come to realize I can only create change one patient at a time. Still you can't keep losing your mind over this.

Doxa: You're right(sits down dejectedly) Oh, what did you come here for anyway?

Elena:  Can't a friend check on a....
Blue light floods the room unexpectedly, cutting of Elena and sending them both to hide behind the bed, The light dims to reveal a guy stepping out of a translucent pod.

El ezio: hello folks, you don’t need to be afraid. I’m  ezio from  xenon.

Elena: xenon!!!

Doxa: The same Xenon!!!!! That's so far away

Ezio:Well, it normally shouldn't take this long to get here but first I had to be trained to pass for an earthling.

Elena: You seem to pass for one quite easily

Ezio: It wasn't that easy, I had to learn the languages, the culture...Anyway Xenon encountered something similar to earth's current situation, even worse. We were able to find a preventive solution though, in the end. That's why I've come, to share the solution.

Doxa: And dreams do come through

Elena: true

Doxa: not now Lena

Ezio: ( amused) as fun as this is I must hibernate or rather sleep now, the journey was tiring. Let's resume this conversation in 10 earth hours shall we?
